Ushers are ministers of hospitality entrusted with fostering a sense of welcoming and belonging among those assembled for Mass. They greet and seat assembly members as they arrive at church, take up the collection, direct the flow of traffic during Communion time, and distribute bulletins to the people as they leave the church. These ladies and gentlemen are also involved with any special happenings at liturgies and in assisting assembly members with any special needs. Some of our ushers are also trained in CPR and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) by the Lansing Fire Department. Ushers may serve at the Mass of their choosing, for which there is an usher captain present at each. Bill Benne is the head usher. Interested parties may speak to any usher after Mass or call the Parish Office for more information.
