The Music Ministry, under the direction of Lori Moreland, is comprised of three distinct ensembles:

  • Adult Choir
  • Cantors
  • Funeral Choir

This ministry is blessed with many talented parishioners and high school students who play various instruments and provide music for holiday celebrations and special occasions. Interested musicians may speak with Mrs. Moreland after Mass or call the Parish Office.

Adult Choir

The choir enhances liturgies through sung prayer. The music repertoire includes traditional and contemporary music. The choir typically sings at 10:30 a.m. Sunday Masses, with rehearsal immediately before Mass. The group takes the summer off and resumes after Labor Day.

Cantors

Cantors are singers who hold a special role in the musical leadership of the parish; the cantor is to lead and sustain the people’s singing during the liturgy. Some cantors are devoted just to this role, while others serve as both cantors and members of the choir. Musical and liturgical formation is provided to those interested in this ministry.

Funeral Choir

This choir provides prayerful and reflective music to console the family and friends assembled at funeral liturgies. The choir works closely with the Ministry of Consolation and the families in planning the funeral liturgy.
