Please join us in welcoming Fr. Ryan Brady, who will facilitate our Advent Mission this year.  We will begin with dinner at 6:oo p.m. in the Narthex and then proceed into Church for discussion.  All are welcome!

Here’s a little about Fr. Ryan:

Born and raised on the southwest side of Chicago, IL, Fr. Ryan Brady is a graduate of Marist High School (Class of 2001) and Loyola University Chicago (Class of 2005). In his first two years at Loyola University Chicago, Fr. Brady studied at St. Joseph College Seminary for the Archdiocese of Chicago (2001-2003). After Loyola, Fr. Brady worked in sales and marketing across the Chicagoland area. Eventually, Fr. Brady worked nights and weekends at Holy Name Cathedral to be of greater service to the local Church. Soon thereafter, Fr. Brady made a career change that fundamentally redirected his life. Fr. Brady worked in the Development Department of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago. It was at Catholic Charities that Fr. Brady rediscovered his vocation to the priesthood. Fr. Brady attended the University of St. Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary (Class of 2021) and was ordained on May 15th of that year.

Fr. Brady serves as Associate Pastor of Our Lady of the Ridge – St. Linus Parish, Oak Lawn (2021-present). In addition, Fr. Brady is the Assistant Program Director of The Rome Experience: A Summer Program for Diocesan Seminarians. With The Rome Experience, he leads and guides dozens of American Seminarians on a pilgrimage through Rome. Fr. Brady has helped organize a permanent home for a community of Arabic-speaking Latin Rite Catholics to worship in the Archdiocese of Chicago.

In addition to his pastoral duties at his parish, Fr. Brady has enjoyed working with and serving the Poor Clares of the Immaculate Conception in Palos Park, IL, the Arab American Catholic Community of Chicago, and the needs of those in his community suffering from addiction to drugs and alcohol.
